Ralph Lauren

The Ralph Lauren Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection is full of a bunch of cute satchel-y bags
that are just the right size.
(above) the panama bag is super cute. It's actually similar to the dior detective bag with the bottom compartment but i like size a little better on this one.

HARDCORE!

I was surfing the other day and I stumbled across this awesome brass knuckle bag

Vinyl Brass Knuckle Clutch, Akademiks $58.00

It's pretty "gangsta" if you will but I like it. I saw it in yellow first and I kind of like it better than the red but I can't find the yellow version anymore. :-( oh well.

Ch-ch-ch-CHANEL!

Nothing says "class and glamour" like a chanel bag swinging from the crux of your elbow. Here are some of Chanel's finest!

Chanel's reporter bag in mustard

although I think it looks more like buttercup or something.

Enjoy the eye candy!

omigod.. shoes!

okay, yes, this is a blog about bags, but I found shoes that i'm in love with...

soooooooooo so so so so so cute! If I only had $545 dollars to spend...

Gucci! All right!

Soooooo... Gucci has some cute stuff right now!

This is the Red Indy Large Top Handle
Gucci's doing some really cool stuff with these shiny metal plates. Check it out on Nieman Marcus' or Bergdorf's websites.

This is the Granite Guccissima Britt Hobo

I really like the color and the stamped leather. Gucci has a bunch of this shape (the "Britt" hobo) this season and I have to say, I'm a fan.

This is quite a new and unique thing for Gucci: the Green Velvet Leather Mushroom Bag

:-D all right! cute!

a new shape

This great new cylindrical shape has been popping up on the runways lately. There's a bunch of different variations.
These Emilio Pucci Python Lantern bags are really cute and fun.

I'm not so sure about the whole clear bags thing that some magazines have been peddling. I mean, do you really want everyone seeing EVERYTHING you're carrying.? ("hey! guess what brand of tampons I use!") but I think these are a fun option for the beach or the pool or if you monitor what you decide to carry.
Fendi's Leopard Palazzo bag is another cute (and less revealing) option:
I think this is really current and young, I love the leopard. It's just a really fun bag :-)
Hopefully we'll see more of this adorable trend in the future!

Bountiful Buckles!

I'm not usually a huge Fendi fan. I don't really like their black and brown "F" logo fabric. I think it's kind of dull and ugly. I wouldn't stop at a display of Fendi bags, but I really like some of the things they've been doing lately, especially these new buckle bags.

This is Fendi's canvas small shoulder bag:
And this is their two-tone patent small shoulder bag:
I think these are both adorable. They're kind of quirky and fun while remaining sophisticated. I think how they used the buckle is really innovative and unique.

This one is Fendi's patent leather medium shoulder bag:
Again, I think this look is really young and fresh with out being too childish. This bag really just stands out for me. And look!
it even has matching shoes! :
Fendi patent ballerina

yay buckles!

More Dior!

Okay, okay, I know. You get that I like Dior. I just have a few more and then I'm done... well not forever but for now. :)

This is literally my favorite bag ever.
I want this so bad. I'd KILL for this bag. No literally, I would murder a person for this. Got a person who you really don't like? Buy me this bag and I'll totally take care of it. It's so perfect. It matches but it's still kind of funky. I can't even explain it. It's beautiful.

The large detective bags are a few seasons old but they're totally awesome.

The construction and style of this bag is so gorgeous. I love the shape and the details. The zippered compartment at the bottom is both adorable and practical. I love these bags.

This is aptly named the "Dior Hardcore Bag".

It's actually kind of a toned down, more practical version of my "bag-that-i've-wanted-forever". AwEsOmE!

And last but CERTAINLY not least is this cute little white number from Dior's new Lady Cannage Line.

Delish. I love the quilted look with the shape that looks very prim contrasted with the dangly letters that are more fun and funky.

If I ever win the lottery, I'm buying Dior bags. Lots and lots of Dior bags. I mean I guess i'll save some for my "future" or whatever. I'll probs donate some to charity. But mostly, Dior bags.

I [heart] John Galliano!

*GASP!* was my reaction when I was flipping through InStyle and I stumbled across a page featuring the new international line of 12(!) new saddle bags from Dior, designed by that talented, talented man, John Galliano.

China:I absolutely love LOVE lOvE LoVe LOOOOOVE this bag. The gold decoration is amazing and the dragons are so detailed. I'm obsessed with it. I also think the dragon as part of the "D" is a really novel idea. Moral of the story: I want this.

Argentina:

This bag is cute. I like the boho look. I honestly don't love or hate it. I'm tepid on this one.

Japan:
This one is also, amazing. I absolutely love it. Of course, my culture may make me a biased towards this one buuutttttt whatever. The kimono fabric is totally gorgeous and I love the color combination of the red and the black with the pastels in the kimono band. The red tassels are also a really nice touch. Yay! Represent Japan!

India:

This is kind of over the top but I think with the right thing it would be a really cool piece. I love the chain coming from the "D", intended to represent that chain that Indian women wear from their nose piercing to their ear piercing. I think this is definitely India. I like it a lot.

France:

I don't really like the pearl handle because it reminds me of those really ugly headbands you get in five packs at the dollar store, but I REALLY like the toile. The painting on the "D" and the "CD"s is interesting. I'm not really sure how I feel about it.

England:

I don't really see how this represents England, but it's a nice bag. Not my fave or anything, but cute.

Egypt:

OoOoOoOoh. I really like the stripes on the "D" and "CD"s and the gilding is gorgeous. I feel like this might be REALLY heavy, though...

America:

I'm not gonna lie. This kind of makes me think of a purse that you'd get at Limited Too or Claire's or something... but I guess that is PART of America... meh. I don't really like it.

Russia:

It's quite... furry. I dunno... it's okay.

Spain:

I really like the toritoise shell accents. I really like the flowers... I just really like this bag.

Mexico:

It's definitely Mexican-looking. I love the turquoise but I'm not a huge fan of the horse blanket/poncho fabric. It's a little Chico's (shudder)

Morrocco:

I love the tusk/horn/tooth handle, and the blue and white is really nice together. I really like this one a lot.

sigh... J'adore Dior...

3.14.2007

you know that bag that you wanted a while ago and you actually still really want and can't stop thinking about?

welllll... okay so i've wanted this bag ever since I saw it in Lord & Taylors in the seventh grade when I was cutting through to get to Claire's or something.

I don't know why. It doesn't really fit my "look". Chances are, I would have like one or two outfits that i could wear with it and I have two Dior saddle bags and I KNOW that they honestly only fit a wallet, cell, pack of gum, and my dior addict lip gloss (i know, how fitting) and thats pretty much it. I would only be able to carry it on the weekend. Yet I still pine for this bag. I'm obsessed with it.

It's like these Marc Jacobs high tops I obsessed over in the ninth grade:

They are completely impractical, I would've probably been too scared of ruining them to actually wear them and had like one outfit to wear them with, but I even got my first (terrible, awful, excruciating) job to try to save up for them. (I never got them. By the time I could actually control myself from spending my entire paycheck, Bloomingdale's did not have them anymore.)

I know these things are too expensive and completely impractical, but i just don't care. I want them. And THAT is my life.
